The holiday season has arrived, and Verandah at Valley Ranch is excited to take part in something truly special. This year, we’re joining Morguard’s North Pole Express, a donation drive dedicated to brightening the lives of foster children. Together, we can create meaningful moments for these children and show them the love and care they deserve.
What Is the North Pole Express? 🎄
The North Pole Express is a nationwide initiative by Morguard communities, including Verandah at Valley Ranch, to collect essential and comforting items for children in foster care. For the next four weeks, our lobby will become a festive collection hub where residents can drop off donations that will be used to fill comfort cases—backpacks filled with practical items and small comforts that foster children can call their own.
Who Are We Supporting? 💙
We’ve partnered with Comfort Cases, an inspiring nonprofit that provides foster children with backpacks filled with essentials like pajamas, books, hygiene products, and more. For many foster kids, these cases replace trash bags as a way to carry their belongings, restoring a sense of dignity, hope, and worth during a difficult time.
How Can You Help? 🌟
From now through December 13th, we invite you to participate by dropping off donations in our lobby collection box. Here’s what’s needed:
- New pajamas (all sizes welcome)
- Diaper wipes (packs of 10–48)
- Children’s board books (to spark curiosity and joy)
- Small blankets and stuffed animals (for warmth and comfort)
- Baby washcloths (for little ones’ daily care)
Every single item makes a difference in creating a brighter holiday for a foster child. Please remember all donations must be new and unused, and we kindly ask that religious or holiday-themed items not be included to ensure the backpacks are inclusive for all recipients.
